New Moodle Plugin “Adele” helps educators guide learners with ease

Keeping students on track in an online course can be a challenge, especially when learning happens across multiple modules and activities. A new Moodle plugin, Adele, is here to change that.

Developed by the team at Wunderbyte GmbH, Adele helps educators design learning paths – clear step-by-step routes through a course. Instead of having to navigate countless activities on their own, learners are guided through the modules and always know what comes next.

With Adele, teachers and trainers can:

  • Map out entire learning journeys by linking courses and activities together.
  • Set conditions for progress, like completing a quiz before moving on.
  • Track learning progress, so both teachers and learners see exactly where they stand.
  • Visualize course structure with color codes and simple drag-and-drop tools.

A typical use case is a certificate course for self-study that is delivered entirely online and consists of several modules. Some modules are mandatory, while others can be selected individually from a pool of courses. Adele supports this by clearly defining the minimum requirements while still giving learners the freedom to set their own focus.

For educators, this means less administrative effort: access to new content is granted automatically once the necessary conditions are met.

Adele brings structure to digital learning without limiting flexibility. This makes online education easier to design, more transparent to track, and more motivating for learners.

The plugin is available free of charge and can be integrated into any Moodle platform – whether in schools, universities, or corporate training environments.
